On Saturday, Oct. 16, Bobby, Hannah, and I went to the Old Baker Farm Pumpkin Patch. It was a beautiful day, but could have been about 10 or 15 degrees cooler. Hannah enjoyed finding her way through the corn maze, jumping in a truckload of cotton, petting and feeding farm animals, and of course riding the hayride out to the pumpkin patch to pick the perfect pumpkins. On our way back to the line to wait on the hayride to take us back to the farm, we had a small incident. This was a real pumpkin patch (unlike the one last year in Hayden where they just dump the pumpkins in a field), so the pumpkins were all growing on the stems. As we were walking, Hannah ran into one of the tall briar looking things that grow from the stems. They had small cactus looking things that got stuck in her hair. When she reached her hands up to try to pull it out herself, they got all tangled in her hair. It took Bobby about 15 minutes trying to get the 10 or so out of her hair all while she is screaming crying!!! Everything was better once we got back to the farm and got us something to drink. We will definitely make this pumpkin patch our tradition though!! It was great. We may even go there to get our Christmas tree.
